Dustin ~ if by "credit" you mean "points" you will need to write at least 50 words to get 200 points.  Aren't you the guy from Seattle?

Do I get points for people leaving comments?

BTW, I am probably that guy from Seattle, although I'm now living in S. Cal...   I'm not too worried about the points for my posts if I can get points through comments/views... :)

Dustin ~ you get a base of 200 points for blogs (up to 10 a week). The week starts on Sunday.  The clock is in Central time, so each new day starts for me at 11 so for you that would be 10.

Yes, you get 25 points for up to 10 comments a day.

If your blog is good and people comment and grade it well you will get bonus points.  I don't know what the numbers are for that...it's rather new.

Welcome to Active Rain.  I have read your work and enjoy it.  I hope you stick around here and show us a thing or two.

Hey, Dustin! Greetings from over on the Kitsap Peninsula! Welcome to the AR Community! You'll catch on quickly. It's definitely worth it to invest some time on here. Feel free to ask any questions along the way!

Rob,

We're eating Beignets at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans.   We went all out and each of us ordered a Cafe Au Lait... Ymmm...

Ten a week?  Piece of cake.

Seems points are the same whether you put photos or not, whether you talk long or short, so far this looks pretty easy.

I just saw theat comment that says at least 50 words to get 200 points.  Looks like mine have all been over 50 words so far, so I didn't notice that :-)

Ardell, I've been dinged on every one of my posts for not writing enough (less than 50 words).  Apparently, I'm not verbose enough in my posting length and too verbose in my posting frequency!  :)

Mathew,

I'm not a big fan of anything that says go get something to see it.  I ususally leave.

Dustin,  I'm starting to find it easier and easier to come up with the 50 words needed.  Just start typing some thoughts, then correcting them, and amazinly enough the words just start to flow.  Mike
